Texas Time Records is an indie record label based in Austin, TX. We support emerging artists by providing resources and opportunities to help foster career development and reach wider audiences with support by Texas Time Artist Services and Wonderland Studios, ATX
Austin, Texas, is home to a vibrant independent music scene and several notable indie record labels. Texas Time Records was initially started by partners of Wonderland Studios ATX to release a few albums they we're working on in the early 2000s and to possibly release a shelved album (by Virgin Nashville - Development Deal) by The Cosmic Cowboys. However, that album was later released on Super Loud Music as Mark McKinney and the Cosmic Cowboys - Back In the Day - Sessions from '98.
Around the same time, producer/artist Bill Palmer approached The McKinney Brothers (Eric & Mark McKinney) about capturing some specific vibes/sounds with some projects/releases in the early 2000s. Mark co-produced an album by Bill's band Hundred Year Flood released on Quanah Records. And Bill Palmer and The McKinney Brothers produced, engineered/mixed Bill's vibey debut solo-album "Burn", a limited edition CD released on Frogville Records in association with Texas Time Records. Subsequently, additional Texas Time releases followed and several releases on spin-off label Texas Evolution.
